So, what are aphids?
Aphids are insects (parasites) and are characterized as a great threat to the cultivation of plants, flowers and vegetables. They are more likely to develop in environments with high humidity and on hot days, with long periods of rain.
Aphids feed on plant saps and reproduce in large numbers.
How can you prevent them?
There are several ways to control aphids, from biological or natural pesticides to homemade recipes. Check out some options below:
- Water with detergent and alcohol: 1 liter of water for 1 tablespoon of detergent and alcohol;
- Neem oil;
- Pepper and garlic broth;
- Onion skin broth;
All of the options above must be applied using foliar spray. Spraying should be done once a week for 3 or 4 weeks.
